Neighbourhoods

If a travel Detroit is on the cards, you can also pay a visit to the neighbourhoods as well as the historic districts of Detroit. The fun at both the places will be beyond measure. You can be at the city's central business district, which is Downtown Detroit for business purposes, which is quite an important area. Bricktown historic district is another place that one will love to visit as it is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It also separates Greektown from Renaissance Centre and Detroit's oldest standing church, St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church is located here.

Other neighbourhoods one can visit include Capital Park historic district, Campus Martius, and Fort/Financial district. The Greektown historic district is a good tourist spot with a popular entertainment area, several restaurants, various forms of Greek architecture, options to hear good Greek music, and casino. There is also a Detroit People Mover station at the Greektown casino.

You can also go to the Washington Boulevard historic district, Jefferson Avenue, Brush Park, Midtown, and Cass Corridor. Several others include Poletown, West Village historic district, Atkinson Avenue historic district, Old Redford, Brightmoor, Rosedale Park, Virginia Park historic district, Mexicantown, Springwells Village, and other places.

Before deciding to visit a neighbourhood, always find out what the weather is likely to be. The weather at Detroit is extremely unpredictable and so you need to equip yourself with raincoats and warm clothes if there is a sudden change in weather.

You will also do good to learn about the many festivals and events that take place in the neighbourhoods during a Detroit MI travel, so that you are at the right time to have fun.
