The Detroit Auto Shows is also known as NAIAS (North American International Auto Show) is an annual motor show held at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan. It is one of the largest motor or auto show in the North America. Detroit has hosted more than hundred shows.
The auto shows starts with the industry preview days, a charity preview event and press preview days. The charity preview raises funds for the children's charities. In the year 2005 and 2006, the charity preview attracted about 17,500 people at 400 dollars per ticket and raised funds about several million dollars. In 2006, the charity preview raised about six million dollars and sold about 35,711 tickets, the industry preview attracted people from twenty four countries in the year 2005 and 6,897 credentialed press from sixty three countries. In the year 2004 more than 800,000 people attended the show and generated revenues about 500 million dollars to the city.
