The mesmerizing Fisher Theatre is located at 3011 West Grand Boulevard in Detroit in United States. It was opened on November 11, 1928 as a movie and a show house. It is a perfect entertainment place and hosts interesting entertainment shows.

The various features of the theatre are Mexican-Indian art, a goldfish pond, banana trees and drifting macaws. In 1961, under the supervision of Nederlander Theatrical Corporation, it was remodeled and became an amazing place for live performances. The theatre is decorated with marble, walnut paneling, Indian rosewood, has a marvelous crystal and bronze work. The theatre is quite spacious with 2089 seats approximately.

From the last 40 years, many Broadways stars namely Mary Martin, Carol Channing, Joel Grey and Lynn Redgrave liked the theatre very much and it became their favorite venue. World premieres such as that of Hello Dolly, Sweet Charity and Golden Boy were hosted by these stars.

In the year 1961, David Tobias and his sons who hold the Nederlander Theatre legacy started operating and booking large number of productions. Soon the theatre gained great success with huge subscription audience.

The latest shows in 2010-2011 are "The West Side Story", "Rock of Ages"," Marry Poppins"," In The Heights"," Burn The Floor"," Les Miserables ".
